For the poor, it is a time of uncertainty! All around the world, vulnerable households were dealt a hard blow by the socioeconomic impact of the global lockdown. Their inability to continue their daily source of income pushed many of these families further down the poverty line. Their children faced the increased risk of hunger and malnutrition. The InnerCity Mission and Partners responded swiftly by providing emergency food supplies to affected households in over 25 countries. With the rising cost of food prices and high inflation rates globally, too many low-income households face increasedfood insecurity with many children suffering the adverse effects of hunger and malnutrition. The Hunger Acion Month [HAM] Campaign is an all-year-round Hunger solution to raise and distribute much-needed food to indigent Childrenand families in locations, where the need is greatest.The InnerCity Mission for Children under the auspices of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International has commissioned her 12th 100% tuition-free School- ICM School Ibeju Lekki Campus, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, within its ever-expanding network of Schools across Africa and Asia.This School is the 10th in Nigeria that benefits orphaned, vulnerable and excluded Children all through their primary school education, absolutely free of charge.The InnerCity Mission under the auspices of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International commissions its 11th School, the latest addition, and the largest School facility within its ever-expanding Network of 100% free schools spread across Africa and Asia. This would be the 9th School in Nigeria alone.The InnerCity Mission as a child-centered organization has always come up with various initiatives to eradicate child poverty over the years and this October, we bring you the #EndChildPovertyNow campaign, an initiative that will be running throughout the month in commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The #EndChildPovertyNow Campaign allows everyone to choose any act of kindness to carry out that would make a difference in the lives of the indigent.Dear friend, What a record-breaking year of growth 2022 has been at the InnerCity Mission for Children.
